If it's Public Domain, like I believe the Santa movie is, you should be able to use any part of the film as you wish, especially if you're using scenes from the movie in your video. That's how it works, generally. As far as any warranties, I don't think there's anyone here that can qualify to give you that. This is a PD site, so you should be able to do what you want with whatever you find here. However, if somethimg here is found to be copyright, it's usually taken down quickly. The users here are pretty sharp when it comes to spotting copyrighted material.

You're not going to get ANY guarentees on this site, friend! However, K. Gordon Murray was famous for translating Mexican films, using them for kiddie matinees, and not bothering to register them. While it's possible that most of his translations have been GATT renewed, I've read on several site that this particular film is PD in Mexico, so it isn't eligible for GATT renewal. I'm the one who put it up, so of course I think it's PD in the US, else I wouldn't have. However, I have NO idea what the laws are like in Italy, so you might qant to check with a lawyer if you're expecting wide distribution.

SANTA was a K. Gordon Murray dub too? Didn't know that. All the others I've seen are all horror flicks and they're black and white. Just had a similar conversation with someone else about THE BRAINIAC (it's GATT). Glad SANTA's PD though.

Indeed, he did a lot of kiddie programming as well as "El Santo," which MUST have been GATTed, considering how long the series ran and how popular it was.. That's him narrating "Santa Claus" under a pseudonym.

I have an exploitation flick called SHANTY TRAMP that would appear that he actually made instead of just buying it. But that one definitely ain't for kiddies!
